What is the MyPatientScheduler Connector Appliance?

The MyPatientScheduler Connector Appliance is a name given to a special function computer running the MyPatientScheduler Connector Software. There are two ways to deploy the MyPatientScheduler Appliance; a separate physical machine, or as a virtual machine/appliance.

Physical Connector Appliance

A physical Connector Appliance is a special function computer configured specifically to support communication with the MyPatientScheduler web service. It is installed on your network like any other computer.

Virtual Connector Appliance

A Virtual Connector Appliance is possible using virtualization software such as VMware. The MyPatientScheduler Virtual Appliance can be installed on an existing computer in your office. The virtualization software then allows the Connector to be installed on a host computer and operate exactly as if it were a physical machine. Installation and configuration can generally happen much quicker because there is no physical machine to purchase and configure.
