How Safe Is My Patient Data?
First, MyPatientScheduler uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt patient data sent between a user's browser and the server. This is a very secure way to send and receive private information. Credit card transactions are secured in this way. When you see https:// in the URL, you know the browser is encrypting your data.
Secondly, your data is stored in your own private area, separate from other subscribers' data.
The most sensitive patient information collected by MyPatientScheduler is the last four digits of a patient's SSN. This is only done for patients over the age of 18. The last four digits of the SSN are immediately encrypted and can never be recalled in character form again - not even by us. The SSN digits are used to uniquely identify patients during the registration process.
Your data is stored in a secure data center, off limits to unauthorized access.
